Sick Visits
Purpose Pediatrics offers walk-in pediatric sick visits in Beaumont, TX during the hours your regular pediatrician is closed. Evenings Monday through Friday and through the weekend. No appointment. No referral. Just walk in with your child when they're not feeling right.
What Counts as a Sick Visit
We see kids for:
- Fevers — sudden onset, lingering, or unexplained
- Coughs and sore throats
- Ear pain or tugging
- Stomach issues — vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain
- Rashes and allergic reactions
- Wheezing and breathing trouble
- Cold, flu, COVID, RSV symptoms
- That general "something's off and I can't wait until Monday" feeling parents recognize
If your child has a symptom that's keeping you up tonight, we’re happy to see them to put your mind at ease.
What to Expect
Call or walk in during our open hours. We'll get your child checked in, do a focused exam, and treat what's treatable on-site. Most sick visits are wrapped up in well under an hour.
If your child needs follow-up with their primary pediatrician, we'll provide a visit summary. If they need a prescription, we can call it in to your pharmacy of choice. If we see something that needs ER-level care, we’ll direct you there.
What to Bring
- Your child's insurance card
- A list of any current medications
- A general timeline of symptoms — when did it start, what have you tried, what's getting better or worse
- The name of your child's regular pediatrician (if established)
When to Come In
If you're worried about any of the above symptoms and feel it can’t wait until your pediatrician’s office opens. We're open until 10:30 PM on weekdays and 4:00 PM on weekends.
If your child is having difficulty breathing, is unresponsive, has a head injury, or is showing signs of a true emergency, please call 911 or go to the ER.

How much does a sick visit cost in Beaumont?
For self-pay patients, our base sick visit fee is $125. Tests and procedures (strep, flu, RSV, COVID, breathing treatments) are billed separately at flat rates. We also accept insurance — bring your card and we'll handle the rest.
Do I need an appointment?
No. We're walk-in only. Just come in during our open hours and we'll take care of your child.
Do I need a referral?
No. Any child is welcome regardless of their regular pediatrician.
How long will the visit take?
Most sick visits take under an hour from check-in to walking out the door. Wait times will vary depending on the business of the clinic.
Can you treat my child if they don't have a regular pediatrician?
Yes. We treat any child with an acute illness, whether they have a regular pediatrician or not.
